  Will Jehovah prevent men from going to Mars?

  a few of the friends i have spoken to over the years seemed to think that jehovah would never allow man to leave the planet and visit another.. "we have to get this planet right first", they said.. i thought at the time, perhaps the furthest man would be allowed to go would be the moon.. recently, president bush announced a new space initiative for nasa - first the moon by 2017, then mars by 2020-2030.. what are your thoughts?.

  Canadians - This Hour has 22 Minutes - Going to see show being shot tonight

  really, this tv show isn't shown much outside of canada, but is there anyone here that watches it?

  tomorrow is mrs kwin (heart2heart)'s birthday, so we're going out tonight.

  i was able to get tickets for the filming of this tv show, so we're going to watch it then get supper and then go to a bar and listen to a band or something like that.. i've watched the show for many years, it's not as good as when rick mercer was on it, but it's still good.

  imagine that you have walked into a travel agency (yes, i know, an archaic concept) that has advertised a "surprise" trip.

  they have told you that this excursion will go somewhere pleasant and enjoyable, but it doesn't mention exactly where you will be going.

  however, they tell you to pack a lot of suntan lotion (min:spf 40), towels, swimming togs, and they want to make sure you know how to use an aqualung.

  as has been demonstrated on this forum, the only two positions regarding religion which are logically consistent are fundamentalism and unbelief (whether of the atheist or agnostic variety).

  an in-between position, though some of us would like to hold it, is not logically persuasive.

  yet, that is exactly the situation which is produced in mainline (or "liberal") seminaries today.

  anyway, i plan on reading a lot of your posts and rejoicing with you that you've begun to see things as they are.. .

  many of you migth know the archetypal jewish hero was joshua (the successor of moses) otherwise known as yeshua ben nun (?jesus of the fish?).

  since the name jesus (yeshua or yeshu in hebrew, ....ioshu in greek,...( source of the english spelling) , originally was a title (meaning ?saviour?, derived from ?yahweh saves?

  )......what was jesus's real name?
